The new Weight Watchers PointsPlus program varies from the old points system in two significant ways. In the first instant, calorific values are not part of the revised points calculation.
The previous system looked at calories, fat and fiber to provide a points value for individual food items. But, under the revised Weight Watchers PointsPlus plan fiber, protein, carbohydrates and fat are used to compute a food value. Additionally, the majority of both vegetables and fruits receive a no points value. This is different from the former system, which allocated a zero points value just to vegetables.
In the book ” Weight Watchers Dessert Cookbook” I have put together selection of my favorite 101 desserts recipes, designed to satisfy, yet keep your ProPoints allowance in check.
