This is not a kick-punch book on Taekkyeon, It is a historical description of Taekkyeon as an authentic and original Korean fighting art (often confused as a martial art) that was developed by the people on what is today is the Korean peninsula, 1500 years ago when the Tang military from across the sea to the west, from what we call China today, assisted in the Kingdom of Silla’s defense and then the Tang dynasty decided to keep its military in Silla in the 5th century. The author also includes the work of Grandmaster Hwang Kee who resurrected Subak, another regional fighting art and Subak’s all new Chil Sang Hyungs based on the techniques in the book titled, "Moo Yei Do Bo Tong Ji" that he discovered in 1957 and; Grandmaster Hwan Kee’s decades of work to get the Korean government to accept Soo Bahk Do as Korea’s authentic national martial art and Olympic sport.
